Terry Brewer

Terry Junior Brewer, age 72, passed away peacefully, with his wife by his side on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Hospice of Union County. He was born in Mecklenburg County on December 6, 1952, to the late George Brewer, Jr and Martha Jeanette Davis.

A memorial service to celebrate Terry’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Gordon Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112.

Terry was a simple man who enjoyed laughing and joking around. His greatest times in life were spent on the ball field, whether it was coaching his daughter’s team or behind the plate as an umpire, he had a love for the dirt diamond. His favorite things in life were the UNC Tarheels, Atlanta Braves baseball, NASCAR and Little Debbie cakes. He loved his dogs, Buster and Remi, and whatever he ate, so did they.

Terry is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Brewer of 34 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by their only child, Jessie Jacobs and her husband, Matthew Jacobs, along with his two grandsons, Briar and Jack. He is also survived by his son, Stephen Brewer and brother William “Tommy” Brewer (Judy Harris) along with his sister-in-law, Pam Harrington and multiple nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd. Monroe, NC 28110.
