Thomas Clair Owen

Thomas “TC” Owen, 80, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021. He is the son of the late Robert Roak Owen and Ethel Hoover Owen. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Richard, Donald, John, Earl and James Owen; and sisters, Pauline Rockwell and Roberta Johnston. A memorial service will be held 4:00PM Friday, August 6, 2021 at Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112. Visitation will be 4:30 until 5:30 immediately following the service. Family and friends are also invited to visit the Owen family residence Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 2:00PM until 4:00PM. TC was a police officer with CMPD serving 26 years and retiring in 1998. He is survived by his loving wife, April Owen; one son, Wade Owen of Monroe; a daughter Sherri Owen Shank, husband Steve of Unionville; two grandchildren Meredith Shank and Hudson Shank.
