Timmy Dale Helms

Timmy Dale Helms “Paw”, 62, went home to be with his Lord & Savior Friday, November 5, 2021. He was born September 24, 1959 in Union County, NC son of the late Coy Neal & Lois Rushing Helms. He is also preceded in death by a sister Judy Price, brother-in-law Roger Price, and his father-in-law Kenneth Rushing. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, burial will follow in the church cemetery. Tim loved the Lord, his family and his church family. Some of his happiest times were spent on annual family vacations, cooking for functions at his church as well as hunting with his sons and close friends. Paw is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Karen Rushing Helms, two sons: Casey Helms, wife Callie of Monroe, and Cody Helms, wife Ashley of Monroe, a brother Rick Helms, wife Maravon of Monroe, a sister Pam, husband Barry of Monroe, mother-in-law Frances Rushing of Monroe, a brother-in-law Junior Rushing, wife Jennifer of Monroe, several nieces & nephews, four grandchildren: Gaige Helms, Grayson Helms, Paisley Helms, Caroline Helms, and his fifth to arrive in 2022. The family will receive friends 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, November 8, 2021 at Hillcrest Baptist Church.
