Timothy Johnson Roberts

TIMOTHY JOHNSON ROBERTS, 61, went peacefully to the Lord on Monday, April 2nd, 2018 with his wife and high school sweetheart of 39 years, Phyllis Huffman Roberts, by his side. A native of Ashley Heights and a resident of Monroe, he leaves behind two daughters, Ashley Jason Wheeler of Wilmington, NC and Jodie Steve Chiambretti of Mint Hill, NC and two beautiful granddaughters, Merritt Wheeler Olivia Chiambretti who will miss their Daddy and PopPop indefinitely. In addition, Tim leaves behind his mother, Marjorie Johnson Roberts of Southern Pines, NC, siblings Linda Sealy of Summerville, SC, Tom Dawn Roberts of Greensboro, NC, Terry Sue Roberts of Lenoir, NC as well as a huge extended family of cousins, nieces nephews, and including his in laws, Phillip Sue Huffman of Wagram, NC and Lisa Dean Rexroth of Valdosta, GA who loved him like a son and brother for over 40 years. This life was not big enough for Tim and whether you were one of his golf buddies, a business partner, a neighbor, a fellow church member, a childhood friend, a friend of anyone close to him or simply had the good fortune of making his acquaintance once, he made you feel like you were the only person on earth. He was the light in any room, organizer of group fun, dancing machine and tickle monster. Most importantly was his leadership in his faith family, where he led by example. From humble roots, Tim never let his past get in his way and made the life he wanted for his family. He had an incredible work ethic, working for Cuddy Farms for over 15 years and then founded his company DT Management with partner Dan Turner, to make sure everyone in America had a taste of Swaggerty’s Sausage. Tim always focused on his blessings and walked each day with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who he gave credit for all his successes. Tim’s service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Lee Park Baptist Church, 2505 Morgan Mill Road Monroe, NC 28110 followed by a celebration of life reception in the Family Life Center. Burial will be private. The family would like to thank the nursing team in the NSICU at CMC Main Dr. Amin for their care compassion.
