Tina Ann Wild was born to Sandlin Cecil and Nellie Kate Noel Snellgrove on October 28, 1931 in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended Atlanta Public Schools, graduating from Murphy High School. She went to college in Athens, Georgia, graduating from the University of Georgia with a BFA in Art Education, in 1953.She came to Charlotte, NC to teach art in the elementary schools. She taught five years and finished her career as Artist/Printer for the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. She was married for twenty years to Maurice G. Stubbs, supervisor of the fingerprint section of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department. She is survived by her children, April Stubbs, Tonda Payne, Brian and Penny Stubbs, Alan Stubbs, also six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. After his death she married Lauren D. Wild of Unijax Paper Company. They were married twelve years until his death in 1993. She also had a “most loyal late in life friend, Eddie Matthews, who enriched my life like never before, all my love”.
