Trenton Alexander Phillips, 26, of Monroe passed away on May 12, 2015. Trenton was born February 27, 1989. Trenton graduated from Parkwood High School and attended NC State University but his heart was always with the Heels. Trenton loved sports and loved even more to kid his dad about anything going on in the sports world. He also loved to argue politics, which he did with some of the best. He is survived by his mother, Stephanie Deniese Cox and his father, Ronald Eugene Phillips and step-mother, Wendy Rape Phillips, brother, Cramer Phillips, sister and brother-in-law, Madison and Christopher Kelly, niece, Emmerson Kelly and nephew, Krew Kelly. He is also survived by his grandparents, Roy and Jean Phillips, and Marion and Delano Cox, uncle, Rusty (Sonda) Cox, aunt, Sonya Nunn, cousins, Campbell Cox, Davis Cox, Taylor Nunn, Chandler Nunn, and Kennedy Nunn, step-brothers, Christopher Roehner and Josh Parker, step-sister, Shana Parker, niece, Harleigh Parker and nephew, Jackson Parker. He is also survived by a host of very loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Graveside services will be held Monday, May 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Lakeland Memorial Park.
