Troy Lee Rhoden

Troy Lee Rhoden, 88, of Monroe, NC passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023. He was born in Hortense, Georgia on April 16, 1935, son to the late George Washington Rhoden Sr., and Sarah Moore Rhoden. He is also preceded by his four brothers, James Rhoden, Joseph Rhoden, Roy Rhoden, and George Rhoden, and his three sisters, Georgia Huckaby, Altie Miller, Shirley Ely.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 23, 2023, at Gordon Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Troy married his high school sweetheart on July 2, 1955. He worked for CSX Railroad for 42 years. Troy always had a good story to tell to make everyone laugh. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, going to family reunions, and spending time with his kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife Loretha McGee Rhoden, son Ronnie Lee Rhoden (Carla), daughter Teresa Ann McRorie (Michael), eight grandchildren, Matthew Rhoden (Kinsey), Mark Rhoden (Brooke), Mallory Rollins (Justin), Kevin McRorie (Kaci), Tracy Hincemon (Russell), Kristin Standard (Jesse), Cameron Leviner (Kennedy), and Cody Leviner (Christy), thirteen great-grandchildren, three sister-in-laws Katherine Rhoden, Kay Tarr, and Dorothy Brigmond, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
