Victoria "Vicki" Hall

June 30, 1952 — May 17, 2017

Victoria (Vicki) Ann Reeder Hall was called into the presence of her Lord on Wednesday, May 17th, 2017. Vicki was born in Charlotte, NC on June 30, 1952 to Harry Lloyd Reeder, Jr. and Evelyne Sheehan Reeder who precede her in death. Vicki is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 23 years, Calvin Homer Hall. They were married in Matthews, NC on Feb 13, 1994 and resided in Monroe, NC. Vicki’s life was defined by her love of Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was an active member of Christ Covenant Presbyterian Church, PCA in Matthews, NC for 34 years. Her great love was to serve in the ministries of hospitality and outreach while immensely enjoying the worship and music ministry under the pastoral leadership of David German and John Haines. Vicki was a living example of generosity to those who were blessed to cross her path. She sacrificially loved others well and provided for many without a thought of personal cost. Calvin and Vicki opened the doors of their home to anyone in need and took special joy in the ministry of hospitality. She was also, with her typical energy, engaged in multiple civic organizations throughout the Monroe community as well as seeking to be salt and light in local, state and national civil government initiatives. Vicki loved her family supremely. She brought the love of Christ to her family with passion and was dearly loved by her brother, Harry Lloyd Reeder, III of Birmingham, AL; and her sisters Amy Reeder Martin of Savannah, GA; Beth Reeder Thomas also of Birmingham, AL. She is lovingly remembered by her stepson, Grant Edward Hall, his wife Teresa and their son Tucker Hall, of Waxhaw, NC. She was adored and loved by her cousins, nieces and nephews along with their spouses in whom she delighted and embraced as her own children being their biggest cheerleader and an ever ready dispenser of advice and counsel. Vicki graduated from East Mecklenburg High School in 1970 and went on to attend Central Piedmont College in Charlotte, NC. She had a stellar corporate career working as an executive for several banks and marketing fulfillment organizations. She retired to embrace her favorite job as Calvin’s wife supporting him in his business ventures, leadership initiatives at Christ Covenant and various civic organizations in the Monroe Community. In addition, Vicki’s hobbies included cooking and a thriving business at Southern Market Place. The Celebration Service will be held at Christ Covenant Church, 800 Fullwood Lane, Matthews NC, 28105 on Tuesday, May 30th 2017 at 12:00 noon with her brother, Dr. Harry L. Reeder III, Senior Pastor of Briarwood Presbyterian Church officiating, assisted by Rev. Bernie Lawrence and Dr. John Haines (Christ Covenant Church). The Interment will be at the church cemetery, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the ministry Vicki loved and served at Christ Covenant Church, The Christ Covenant Ministry of Special Events and Concerts. 800 Fullwood Lane, Matthews NC, 28105.
