Virginia Moore Aldridge, 95, passed peacefully into heaven on September 2, 2019. Virginia was born on February 26, 1924, in Union County, daughter to the late James Moses and Minnie Hailey Moore. The youngest of 11 children, Virginia was born a nurturer and loved each of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren unconditionally. She and her beloved husband, Walter, were married for 54 years and brought 3 wonderful children into this world. Virginia was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church for more than 70 years. She spent many years working as an inspector at Oro Manufacturing Company. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 5, at 2:00pm at Union Baptist Church, with interment following the service in the church cemetery. She was greeted in heaven by her husband, parents, brothers and sisters, and countless treasured friends. Until they are reunited again, she will be missed by her three children and their families: Doug (Beverly) Aldridge, Linda (Dean) Craig, and Mike Aldridge. Virginia is also survived by her 7 grandchildren: Angie Aldridge Mangum, Brian Aldridge, Tonya Helms (James), Michelle Craig Rauch, Derek Craig (Amanda), Gena Aldridge Strough (Steve), Jamie Aldridge (Annette), and her 8 great-grandchildren: Kerstyn Helms, Christian Aldridge, Logan Helms, Carly Rauch, JC Strough, Taylor Aldridge, Sean Strough and Davis Craig.
