Virginia "Jenny" Courtney

Virginia “Jenny” Mills Courtney, 81, died Monday, May 26, 2008. She was born in Union County, NC on November 23, 1926 daughter of the late Ellis and Toleda Thomas Mills. Mrs. Courtney was a retired employee of Acme Nameplate. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Lakeland Memorial Park. She is survived by her husband, Walter Harris Courtney, daughters, Sandra C. Plowman and husband Don of Indian Trail, Melody C. Trout and husband Dave of Matthews, grandchildren, Zach Plowman, Brandon Trout, Keith Trout and wife, Becky, great grandchild, Nathan Trout, sisters, Linda M. Grubb and Pat M. Haigler, both of Wingate. She was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy M. Haigler and Lola M. Arnold, brothers, Calvin and A. E. Mills.
