Virginia Lee Napier

Mrs. Virginia Lee Brooks Napier, 90, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Virginia was born on December 17, 1930 in Marshville, NC. She was the daughter of the late Fulton Brooks and Beatrice Brooks. She was also preceded in death by her wonderful husband Sherrill Flake Napier in 1980. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, April 12, 2021, at Gordon Funeral Chapel, burial to follow at Euto Baptist Church Cemetery, 6019 NC-205, Marshville, NC 28103. The family will receive friends and relatives prior to the service from 12:30PM until 1:45PM on Monday, April 12, 2021, Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC, 28112. She lived her entire life in New Salem, and was very proud of her home and land. Virginia loved her family and was devoted to taking care of them. She was especially devoted to her son Ronnie, who she watched over lovingly at all times. You never left her house without a gift or a treat, because that’s how she showed her love. Virginia loved cross-stitch and embroidery, and was always making crafts for her family and friends. She also made the best chicken & dumplings you’ve ever tasted. Survivors include her beloved children Donnie S. Napier and Ronnie L. Napier, both of Marshville, and Kathy N. Lorch (Doug) of Oakboro. Her grandchildren include Brandon Lorch, Anita Whitley (Michael), J.J. Napier (Wendy), and John Napier (Jolene). She also has four great grandchildren, Madilyn & Ethan Whitley and Brayden & Hudson Napier.
