Virginia Pendergrass Rollins

Mrs. Virginia Dare Pendergrass Rollins of Marshville, NC passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. She was born in Wilkes County, NC, on October 29, 1933 daughter to the late Vaughn Pendergrass and Vallie Dare Souther Pendergrass. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmie, Dwight, Granville and Roy Pendergrass and one sister Flossie Pendergrass.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 5709 Philadelphia Church Road, Marshville, NC 28103, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00PM until 2:45PM in the church sanctuary.

Virginia is survived by her devoted husband Jerry Rollins, two sons Jerry Rollins (Lorie), and Jackson Rollins (Angie), two daughters Paula Vincent (John), and Shelia Adcock (Tony), brother Charlie Pendergrass (Beverly), half brothers Tommy Pendergrass (Judy) and Ricky Pendergrass, sister Gladys Rhodes, six grandchildren Erin Vincent, Madison Adcock, Emma Adcock, Carson Rollins, Ellen Rollins and Kennedi Rollins.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Philadelphia Baptist Church (Building fund) at 5709 Philadelphia Church Road, Marshville, NC 28103 or Novant Health Hospice, PO Box 33549, Charlotte, NC 28233.

Virginia’s family is so grateful for her caregiver, Sharon Davis and the care from Novant Health Hospice, Margaret Lyons and Dr. Clontz, Jutina Nichols, Michael Flynn and Kristine Garcia.
