Vivian Parker Finigan Barringer, of Monroe, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016, in Whispering Pines, NC. She was born in Mecklenburg County, NC to the late William W. Parker and Alma Gay Parker. She was preceded in death by her husbands William James Finigan and Dr. Phil Barringer. She is survived by her two sons James Bernard Finigan of Whispering Pines, NC and Michael George Finigan of Rockport, MA; two grandchildren, Bill Finigan and Kate Finigan; and two great-grandchildren, William and Hazel. She is also survived by Dr. Barringer’s children: Regina Lee, Phil Barringer Jr, Martha Norwood, Eileen Mullis, and Mark Barringer. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Monroe and retired from Union Memorial Hospital, now CMC-Union. A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, in Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112.
