Wade Hampton Pate, 71, passed away June 21, 2014. Wade was born on March 7, 1943 in Union County to the late Henry Hampton and Frances Helen Matheson Pate. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at 10:00 AM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC, 28112, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Wade is survived by his son, Daniel Pate; brothers, Robert “Bob” Pate and James Pate; sisters, Joyce Guion, Ann Benton, Elizabeth Aldridge, Nancy Pate, and Kathy Helms.
