Among her many positive attributes, she was especially known for her beautiful handwriting and the delicious pound cakes she made for friends and family. She often spoke about her childhood, emphasizing her quick cotton-picking ability, frequently helping her sister keep up.

She loved getting together with her family and sharing memories of their earlier days and making new memories to cherish. She so enjoyed the companionship of the pets, Duke and Tommy, in her later years.
