Walter Harris Courtney

Walter Harris Courtney, 93, of Indian Trail, NC, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017. He was born August, 3, 1923, in Union County, NC to the late Russell Archie Cora Mae Caskey Courtney. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Mills Courtney. Mr. Courtney is survived by two daughters; Sandra Plowman, husband Donald of Indian Trail, NC, and Melody Trout, husband David of Matthews, NC, three grandchildren; Zachary Plowman, Brandon Trout, and Keith Trout, a great grandchild; Nathan Trout. A private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 West Roosevelt Blvd. Monroe, NC 28110.
