Walter Phillip (Phil) Griffin, 90, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024. He was born on January 9, 1934, son to the late James Griffin and Lydia Odell Kiker Griffin. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Nelson Griffin, and his sisters, Louise Wright and Polly Marsh.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Benton Heights Presbyterian Church. Inurnment will follow in the church columburium with Military Honors. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 until 2:45 PM at Benton Heights Presbyterian Church sanctuary, 2701 Concord Hwy, Monroe, NC 28110.

He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Myra Pope Griffin; his son, Michael Griffin (Amy); his daughters, Lynn Griffin and Donna Lawing; his brother, Wayne Griffin; four grandchildren, Sarah Griffin, Abigail Griffin, Samantha Griffin, and Evan Cawthorn (Jessica), as well as one great-grandchild, Harper Cawthorn.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider making a memorial in his memory to Benton Heights Presbyterian Church, 2701 Concord Hwy, Monroe, NC 28110.
