Walter Johnson Griffin, Jr., 78, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. He was born January 23, 1946, in Union County, son to the late Walter Johnson Griffin and Flora Ashley Griffin. He was also preceded in death by his son, Mark Griffin.

Funeral services will be on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 2:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.

Mr. Griffin is survived by his son, Chas Griffin, daughter, Katie Griffin and Marcie, Ashley, Rachel, and Justin Griffin, and many grandchildren including Chasity, Jacob, and Lexy Griffin.
