Wanda C. Bradley, 71, of Marshville, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017. She was born December 10, 1945, in Marshville, NC, to the late Fred and Ruth Staton Carpenter. Mrs. Bradley was a 1964 Graduate of Forest Hills High School and obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Education from UNC-Charlotte. She was a retired educator with Union County Public Schools and was a member of Fairfield Community Baptist Church. Mrs. Bradley is survived by her husband, Thomas Bradley, whom she married June 21, 1964, sons, Mark Bradley and wife, Claire, of Marshville and Brian Bradley of Cullowhee, sisters, Pat Helms (Kenneth) of Marshville, Ann Traywick (Bill) of Marshville, Jean Smith (Richard) of Raymore, MO, and Jane Griffin (the late Don Griffin) of Marshville, brother, Tom Carpenter (the late Ocie Carpenter) of Marshville, and two grandchildren, Sarah and Caroline Bradley. She was preceded in death by four brothers, infant Ben Carpenter, Burt Carpenter (Mary Lou), Bill Carpenter (Betty), and Jack Carpenter (Jesse). The family will visit with friends and relatives from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112.
