Wanda Elaine (Carnes) Melton

Wanda Elaine Melton, 60, of Monroe, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018. She was born in Union County a daughter of the late William Marvin and Dora Mills Carnes. Wanda was a member of Indian Trail First Baptist Church, East Campus in Marshville. She loved being in the outdoors and fishing. She loved people and never met a stranger. Wanda is survived by her husband of 23 years, David Melton and one brother, Dale Carnes and his wife Viola of Jefferson, SC. Funeral services for Wanda will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday April 28, 2018 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 114 Trinty Church Road, Monroe, NC 28112. A reception will follow the service for the family to visit with friends and family. The family suggests, memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross, 608 East Franklin Street Monroe, NC 28112 or to Hospice of Union County 700 West Roosevelt Blvd. Monroe, NC 28110.
