Mrs. Wanda Sue Funderburk Simpson, 72, of Monroe, NC passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025. She was born in Union County, NC on October 3, 1952, daughter to the late William Marvin Funderburk and Margaret Louise Simpson Funderburk. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband Roger Love Simpson.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery, 1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Sue is survived by her sons, Robert “Rob” Simpson, and Jamie Gaskins, daughter Meredith Lyn Simpson (Franswa Hill), brother, Charles “Chuck” Funderburk, four grandchildren, Hannah Smith, Kayli Simpson, Isabella Hill, and Dominic Hill; niece, Lauren Grismer (Jeremiah); nephew, Chase; and two great-nephews, Matthew and Michael Grismer.
