Dateline: Monroe, NC Wanda Gail Whitaker, 56, died Tuesday, October 14, 2008. She was born in Cabarrus County, NC on June 18, 1952 daughter of the late Arthur Daniel and Frankie Christy Honeycutt. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 2:30 PM in Lakeland Memorial Park. Wanda is survived by her husband, Phil Whitaker, daughter, Jenifer Slusher and husband Greg of Irmo, SC, brothers, Elwood Honeycutt of Myrtle Beach, SC, Kenneth, Rick and Scott Honeycutt, all of Monroe and Rodney Honeycutt of Lake Wateree, SC, sister, Vicki Smith of St. Louis, MO, and 2 grandchildren, Elizabeth and Elijah Slusher. The family will receive friends Saturday prior to the graveside from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Cremation Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
