Willa Yuline Crenshaw Newell, 88, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Novant Health Hospice surrounded by her family. She was born in Van Wyck, South Carolina on June 17, 1929, daughter of the late James and Pauline Walters Crenshaw. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Leonard W. Newell and daughter Mary Ann Sparrow. Yuline devoted her life to serving the Lord and taking care of her family. She loved baking, cooking, and sewing. A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Newell Family Cemetery 6403 Waxhaw Hwy Mineral Springs, North Carolina. Mrs. Newell is survived by her three daughters, Rita Pettus and husband Wayne of Weddington, Freida Edwards and husband Todd of Monroe, and Nancy Helms and husband Mike of Mineral Springs; two grandchildren, Charity DiLallo and Matthew Helms.
