William Troy “Bill” Benton 86, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016. He was born February 23, 1930 in Union County, son to the late Zeb Lelo Morgan Benton. He is also preceded in death by his wife Elsie Stafford Benton. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, November 28, 2016, at High Hill Primitive Baptist Church, 2225 Concord Ave. Monroe, NC 28110. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00-11:45 AM. Bill is survived by two sons David Deason, and wife Kim of Matthews, Danny Benton of Monroe, two daughters Cathy Norris and husband Jim of Everett, WA, and Lorrie Foster, fourteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
