William Joel Bradley

William "Joel" Bradley, 62, of Waxhaw, was born on June 28, 1956 in Columbia, SC to Joan Bradley Spoerer and the late William Wideman Bradley, III. Joel was taken from this earth on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, in Waxhaw, NC. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Cheryle Ann Bradley; three children: daughter Leah Michelle Terry (husband Michael) of Clover, SC, daughter Marsha Christen Patton (husband John) of Mount Holly, NC and son Joel Aaron Bradley of Prattville, AL; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Elizabeth Bradley; and sister, Glynn Wright of California. Joel was a man who deeply loved God, dearly loved his family, and never met a stranger. His smile and his laughter reflected the joy of his spirit. Answering the call to a lifetime of service, he was educated at Columbia Bible College. He used his talents and servant's heart to serve the Lord and others. Known as a man who could fix anything, his creativity and ingenuity were also displayed through his woodcraft. He enjoyed all things outdoors, whether on two feet, two wheels, or with paddles. He taught his children to love the Lord, love life, and love nature with life lessons that were fun and practical. Married in 2010, Joel and Cheryle shared a love for life and God. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow in Waxhaw Southside Cemetery, 111 Arbor Dr, Waxhaw, NC 28173. The family will receive friends after the graveside service.
