William "Bill" Brown

William “Bill” Brown, 71 of Waxhaw, NC passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021. He was born in Pleasanton, Texas on January 20, 1950 to the late Fredrick Paul Brown and Wilma Hanson Brown. He is also preceded in death by his son, Justin Brown. A memorial service with military honors will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, March 19, 2021 at Tirzah Presbyterian Church, 7507 Tirzah Church Rd, Waxhaw, NC 28173. Bill was proud to serve his country in the United States Army as a medic in the Vietnam War. He grew up in Middletown, Ohio and spent twenty years in Georgia, then he retired to Waxhaw, North Carolina in 2011. Bill had a love for music and enjoyed pulling pranks and making people laugh. He cherished his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Charlene Osborne Brown, and their daughter, Jennifer McElhaney, husband Jeff, of Monroe, NC; one brother, Gary Brown, wife Connie, Burnside, Ky and two grandchildren, Meredith and Lily McElhaney. The family will receive visitors Thursday, March 18, 2021, 5-7PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Hwy. Monroe, NC 28112.
