William "Bill" Deason

William Edward Bill Deason, 83, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012. He was born November 26, 1928 in Pageland, SC to the late William David and Lillie Mae Cato Deason. He is also preceded in death by a brother James Carlton Deason and a sister Bobbie D. Taylor. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, June 4, 2012 in Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mr. Deason is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Barbara E. Deason, two sons Ricky Deason and wife Geneva of Charlotte, Danny Deason and wife Ruth of Monroe, a daughter Debbie Mangum and husband Tommy of Monroe, a sister Marcine Affleck of Orem Utah, four grandchildren Jessica Mangum, Stephanie Lopez, Taylor Deason, Janna Deason, and one great grandchild Alex Lopez. Bill worked as the shop foreman for T.G. Stegall Trucking Company for 26 years, before retiring from Harris Teeter Distribution Center. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112.
