William “Davis” Kiker, 76, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014. He was born in Union County on February 8, 1937, son of the late William Homer and Rachel Rushing Kiker. Davis was a foreman with Charlotte Pipe Foundry and a supervisor with McGee Corporation. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Mullis Kiker and brother, Randy Kiker. Funeral services will be Monday, January 27, 2014 at 1:00 pm in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends and relatives Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm in Gordon Funeral Service. Davis is survived by his sons, Ron and wife Karen of Monroe, Jimmy and wife Julie of Stanfield and Rex and wife Tammy of Pageland; daughter, Kelly Metcalf and husband Brian of New Hill, NC; brother, Ronnie Kiker of New Salem; sisters, Shirley Sedgewick, Delores Furr, Gloria Stroupe and Shan Tetlow, all of Monroe; grandchildren Stephen, Rachel, Jack, Ashley, Deanna, Shannon, Cody, Mandy, Michael, Will and Olivia; great-grandchildren Stephanie, Mckenzie, Addyson and Abby and his special friend, Kathryn Mills.
