William “Craven” Mangum, 91, of Monroe, NC passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026. He was born in Union County, NC on November 21, 1934, son to the late Parks and Lucille Hinson Mangum. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife Ruth McClellan Mangum and son, Mike Mangum.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM, on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 Noon until 1:45PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe NC 28112.

Craven is survived by his son, Jeff Mangum (Sherri), four grandchildren, Christy Riddell (Tony), Josh Mangum (Leha), Colby Mangum, and Katie Tyndall (Cadan) as well as four great-grandchildren, Ethan Mangum, Bryson Mangum, Joseph Riddell and Katelyn Riddell.
