William "Dob" Rushing

William Maurice “Dob” Rushing, 78, passed away Monday, October 3, 2016. He was born August 6, 1938 in Union County, NC son of the late William Boyce Lena Reece Rushing. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, October 6, 2016 in Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Dob is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce Godwin Rushing, two sons Perry and wife Allison of Marshville, and Jerry Rushing and fiancé Donna Inglese of Fort Mill, SC, six grandchildren Avery, Lena, Sarah, Rachel, Chad, and Kayla; eleven great grandchildren Jayme, Cecely, Samantha, Kane, Kendra, Mel, Carmen, Cody, James, Alisha, Korbin, Grayson, and Brooklyn, two sisters, Blake Brantley husband (Harold), and Phyllis Mullis husband Glen of Oakboro.
