William J. Streu

William J. Streu, 83, died Tuesday, December 16, 2008. Bill was born in Adrian, Michigan August 14, 1925 son of the late William and Beulah Ralph Streu. He attended Adrian College, was a WW II pilot in the US Army Air Corp and a retired manufacturing manager. Bill was also preceded in death by his wife Carleene Tuthill Streu. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 11:00 AM in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium. Bill is survived by his son Jeffrey Streu of Monroe; daughter in law Liza Chuk of Charlotte; daughter Christine Flack and husband Chris of Monroe, NC; grandchildren Beth Flack of Charlotte, NC and Bryan Flack of Monroe, NC; sister Judy Stetten and husband Lowell of Adrian, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Cremation Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
