William Charles Voelker Jr.

William Charles Voelker, Jr., 86 passed away Friday, February 11, 2022. He was born July 3, 1935 in Long Island, NY son to the late William Charles Voelker, Sr. & Ruth Metsker Voelker, he is also preceded in death by his wife Catherine Mary Voelker. He was a US Army Veteran serving during 1958 through 1964 while stationed in Germany. He worked for the State of New York, Central Islip Hospital, and also ran a snow plow for the Town. He loved his family and had a passion for Farming. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in Gordon Funeral Chapel. He will be laid to rest following the service at Lakeland Memorial Park, with Military Honors. Mr. Voelker is survived by his daughter Brenda Cherney (John Frame) of Midland, two sons; William Voelker, III of Matthews and Glenn Voelker of Monroe, six grandchildren; Philip Cherney, Jr. (Haley Cherney), Nicole Morgan (Roger), Caleb Voelker, Forrest Voelker, Brady Voelker, and Spencer Voelker, and one great grandchild Jayden Morgan, and a dear close friend & companion Barbara Dulaney. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
