William “Will” Lawrence Hulme, 26, of Franklinton, NC died tragically, on the morning of April 5, 2024, at his home. Will was born June 3, 1997, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, son to Tom Lee Hulme and Melinda Bond Hulme.
Will was a 2015 Graduate from Central Academy of Technology & Arts Engineering Program, Monroe, NC. He was employed by Wellness Pharmacy and Compounding Center in Raleigh, NC where he worked as a Pharmacy/Compounding Technician, Will was an intricate part of the lab obtaining their certification and building a hazardous compounding lab in conjunction with their current compounding lab.
Will graduated #1in his class at CATA and earned the Good Night Scholarship for NC State. He played the Trombone with the Cata Band and participated in the Robotics Club, Church Youth as well as Boy Scouts. Will started camping with his dad & brother and the Boy Scout Troop when he was 5 years old and was lovingly referred to as a Scout Sprout! He continued on to earn his Eagle Scout. For his Eagle Project Will built a playground for the children at Creekside Bible Church in Indian Trail, NC
Will spent his younger years following his dad around and learning and soaking up everything he could. He was able to rebuild the engine on his car, took our shed down, and put it back up at his home in Franklinton. He could fix anything, was a problem solver, as well as an unbelievable cook.
Will loved the outdoors, he loved to camp, fish & hunt. He enjoyed building (he built from scratch a high-performance gaming computer) and fixing things, video games, spending time with his fur-baby Faith, spending time with his family and most importantly building a home with his partner Matt Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Douglass Bond & Joseph Hulme; grandmother, Frances Ann Bond; uncle David Lee Bond; and three cousins Derek Bond, Jennifer Boreman & Gabriella Hitchcock.
Left to cherish his memory and celebrate his life are his parents Tom & Melinda Hulme of Lancaster, SC, brother Leland Hulme of Ashland, Ohio, sister Erica Hulme (Tim Grady) and niece Metta Grady of Rocky Hill, CT, his grandmothers Doris “Jean” Hulme of Monroe, NC and Patricia Bond of Taylors, SC as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
