William Raeford Williams MONROE - William Raeford Williams, 83, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013. He was born June 24, 1930 in Union County, son of the late Brady and Lela Rushing Williams. Funeral services will be Monday, July 1, 2013 at 2:00 PM in Benton's Cross Roads Baptist Church, 109 East Lawyers Road, Monroe, NC, with burial to follow in Shiloh Advent Christian Church cemetery. The family will visit with friends and relatives from 12:30 - 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Williams Brown and his wife, Lynda Tomberlin Williams. He is survived by his daughter, Kim Williams-McElduff and husband Steve of Monroe; brothers, Ned and Neulan Williams, both of Monroe; sister, Lucille Clawson of Monroe; grandchildren, Nicholas Magliocca and wife Tonya and Tony Magliocca and wife Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Greyson, Carter, Cara, Elijah and Nico and also his beloved dog Sparky. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110. The family would like to extend special thanks to Jan, Kim and all the caring staff at McWhorter House.
