Willie Dwight Deese

Willie Dwight Deese, 83, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015. He was born on May 8, 1931 son of the late George Elmer and Lelon Elizabeth Helms Deese. Mr. Deese was a US Army veteran and a retired insurance agent for Liberty Life Insurance Co. for 35 years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Hopewell Baptist Church Legacy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Deese was preceded in death by his first wife, Roberta Starnes Deese, a daughter, Jahala Trull and a brother, Haskel Deese. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Baucom Hinson Deese, daughters, Lezanne Deese Wallace (Randall) of Fairview, Konda Hinson Starnes ( Randy) of Monroe, son, Perry Hinson (Tonya) of Monroe, brother, Galen Deese (Ramona) of Jacksonville, Fla, sister, Ella Dean Hinson of Indian Trail, son-in-law, Barny Trull, 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
