Willie Ethel Pace Owens, 78, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013. She was born in Webster County, MS July 21, 1935 daughter of the late Oscar Bilbo and Maudie May Bradshaw Pace. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Gordon Funeral Chapel 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 PM until 3:45 PM. She is survived by two sons James F. Owens, Jr. of Rock Hill, and John L. Owens of Gastonia, two daughters Stephanie Simmons of Waxhaw, and Pamela McAuley of Monroe, one sister Mary Ellen Acy of Mineral Springs, a sister- in-law Patsy Cole of Waxhaw, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
