Wilma “Rudy” Hinson Baucom, 99, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026. She was born in Union County, NC on June 15, 1926, daughter to the late Robert and Cora Medlin Hinson. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Baucom, daughter Lynn Little, son Terry Baucom, five brothers, and five sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Antioch Baptist Church, 6223 Love Mill Rd. Monroe, NC 28110 with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM in the church cemetery.

Wilma is survived by her daughter, Trina Mitchell, three grandchildren, Amie Thompson (Ron), Matt Little (Amy), Clay Mitchell (Brittney), four great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, son-in-law, Heath Little, daughter-in-law, Cindy Baucom, and several nieces and nephews.

Her passion was taking care of her family, preparing meals, baking cakes, gardening and canning.
