Winfred Dewitt Rape

Winfred Dewitt Rape, 94, passed away December 30, 2011. He was born in Union County on September 15, 1917, son of the late Dewitt and Willie Arant Rape; he is also preceded in death by two brothers Millon Rape, Odell Rape, and a sister Mary Snead. Funeral services will be held in Gordon Funeral Chapel on Monday, January 2, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mr. Rape is survived by his wife, Myrtle Parker Rape; sons, Winfred Dennis Rape, and wife Pat, Charles Rape and wife Mary Anne all of Monroe; brothers, Olin Rape of Conway, SC; sisters, Doris McGee of Monroe and Vera Tarlton of Lake Norman; five grandchildren, Tim Rape, Michael Rape, Eric Rape, Mark Rape, and Michelle Baucom and eleven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 1, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112.
