Yvonne Kay Howard, 76, of Monroe, NC passed away Monday, July 1, 2019. Kay was born in Union County on February 17, 1943 to the late William Franklin and Ellie Helms Howard. Kay was also preceded in death by her brothers; Ed, Bruce, Hayne and Roland Howard, sisters; Hazel Price and Peggy Whittaker, nephew Danny Williams, step-brother Joe Biggers and step-sister Rachel Williams. Kay was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, Monroe, NC and she lived with her sister Hazel Price for many years. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 4316 Hillcrest Church Rd, Monroe, NC 28110. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until 12:45pm prior to the service. She is survived by her niece and caregiver Patricia Kiker (Butch) sister Shirley Bost, Mount Pleasant, NC, brother Bill Howard (Martha) of Matthews, NC.
